New England Cancer Specialists (NECS is currently seeking a
full-time 5 day-40 hr. Certified Medical Assistant
to join our Topsham, ME location. The Certified Medical Assistant
will give topline care to a wide variety of patients dealing with
cancer and blood disorders. Duties include rooming patients, taking
patient vitals, completing review of symptoms forms, reviewing
medications, assisting in the infusion center, and phlebotomy. The
Certified Medical Assistant will work within a team of professionals
including a physician, APP, primary nurse navigator, and a patient

Facilitate office visits by greeting and room patients and
preparing for the physician/APP visit. Ie. Ht, we, vital signs,
review of symptoms, review of medications lists, and histories.
Phlebotomy and blood draws
IM and SubQ injections on various body sites
Assist physicians with procedures as needed
Assist in the completion of FMLA and Disability paperwork.
Stock, inventory, and order medical supplies as needed.
Work Week: Monday- Friday no nights
Weekends: Participation on the weekend urgent
care clinc in our Scarborough, ME location 4-5 time per year is
required. Weeekend is scheduled a year in advance.
Travel: Periodic travel to other NECS Clinic sights
may be needed for coverage purposes.
