New England Cancer Specialists (NECS is currently seeking a
full-time Monday-Friday 40 hr Certified Medical
Assistant to join our new Scarborough, ME location. The
Certified Medical Assistant will give topline care to a wide variety
of patients dealing with cancer and blood disorders. Duties include
rooming patients, taking patient vitals, completing review of
symptoms forms, reviewing medications, assisting in the infusion
center, and phlebotomy. The Certified Medical Assistant will work
within a team of professionals including a physician, APP, primary
nurse navigator, and a patient care coordinator. This
position is eligible for a sign on bonus paid out after 90
days of employment up to $3000 *** Current and former
employees are not eligible for the bonus.***

Job Duties:

Facilitate office visits by greeting and room patients and
preparing for the physician/APP visit. Ie. Ht, we, vital signs,
review of symptoms, review of medications lists, and histories.

Phlebotomy and blood draws

IM and SubQ injections on various body sites

Assist physicians with procedures as needed

Perform EKG’s

Assist in the completion of FMLA and Disability paperwork.

Stock, inventory, and order medical supplies as needed.
Work Week: Monday- Friday no nights or weekends
Travel: Periodic travel to other NECS Clinic sights
may be needed for coverage purposes.
