New England Cancer Specialists (NECS is currently seeking a
full-time Monday-Friday 40 hr Certified Medical
Assistant to join our team, ME location. The ideal
candidate will be able to travel on an as needed basis to our
clinics in Topsham, Scarborough, and Kennebunk. Reimbursement for
mileage available. The Certified Medical Assistant will give
topline care to a wide variety of patients dealing with cancer and
blood disorders. Duties include rooming patients, taking patient
vitals, completing review of symptoms forms, reviewing medications,
assisting in the infusion center, and phlebotomy. The Certified
Medical Assistant will work within a team of professionals including
a physician, APP, primary nurse navigator, and a patient care coordinator.
position is eligible for a sign on bonus paid out after 90
days of employment up to $3000 *** Current and former
employees are not eligible for the bonus.***

- Facilitate office visits by greeting and room patients and
preparing for the physician/APP visit. Ie. Ht, we, vital signs,
review of symptoms, review of medications lists, and histories.
- Phlebotomy and blood draws
- IM and SubQ injections on various body sites
- Assist physicians with procedures as needed
- Perform EKG’s
- Assist in the completion of FMLA and Disability paperwork.
- Stock, inventory, and order medical supplies as needed.
Work Week: Monday- Friday no nights
Weekends: Periodic participation in the weekend
Urgent Care Clinic is Scarborough 4-5 times per year.
Travel: Periodic travel to other NECS Clinic sights
may be needed for coverage purposes.
