Job Description:

New England Cancer Specialists (NECS) is currently seeking a full-time Health Informatics Administrator known internally as a Data Administrator to work for the practice ON SITE in our Scarborough location. Playing a key roll in leveraging practice data to ensure compliance with practice partners, fulfill outside requirements and provide information to support strategic decision making. The successful candidate will work under the Director of Quality and Patient Safety to develop analysis and reporting capabilities supporting internal and external customers. They will possess strong data gathering and analytical abilities, using data to support process changes to provide improvement in practice workflow. Experience with Electronic Medical Records systems is required. Experience within a medical is a plus but not required. Please submit your resume and cover letter with salary requirements.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Accountable for analysis, building, testing, training, and implementation within our OncoEMR
  • In coordination with the Director of Quality and Patient Safety and credentialing team, completion of data analysis and submission to OCM, MIPS, OMH/QOPI.
  • OCM user support
  • Analysis and maintenance of Data Connect files
  • Collaborating with and reporting to NECS leadership
  • Coordinating with internal and external resources as needed
  • Coordination and support of NECS SharePoint platform.
  • EMR system administrator, trainer, and leader the EMR super user team
  • Participate in various meetings supporting NECS data needs internally and externally.
  • Partner with outside vendors as needed.
  • Participate in onboarding of new employees as well as ongoing training as needed.
  • Develop and maintain data driven business metrics.
  • Develop and manage data projects including process improvements and system enhancements to support NECS strategic objectives.
  • Partner with IT to ensure data integrity and security for all data platforms.
  • Ensure confidentiality of data, HIPAA compliance.
  • Periodic travel to all NECS sites
  • Performs miscellaneous, job-related activities as assigned.

Experience and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in related fields such as Information Management, Computer Sciences or Mathematics.
  • 1-2 years of healthcare experience
  • 1-2 years of analysis experience
  • Facilitation skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Business acumen
  • Proven ability to utilize knowledge of computer systems and data structures to develop system solutions.
  • Professional written / verbal communications skills.
  • Customer Service oriented
  • Ability to identify issues and escalate to resolve
  • Ability to effectively present information to clinical and business leaders internally and externally.
